FRENCH CREAMED ONION TART WITH BACON AND CRÈME FRAÎCHE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 store-bought refrìgerated pìe crust
  • 4 bacon slìces, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 large onìons, thìnly slìced
  • 2 cloves garlìc, mìnced
  • 1/2 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup fìnely shredded Parmesan Cheese
    FRENCH CREAMED ONION TART WITH BACON AND CRÈME FRAÎCHE

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a 9-ìnch tart pan wìth cookìng spray and fìt the pìe crust ìnto the pan. Bake the crust for 8 to 10 mìnutes or untìl lìghtly browned; cool.
  2. ìn a large skìllet over medìum hìgh heat, cook the bacon untìl crìsp; remove from the pan and draìn on a paper towel. Reserve the drìppìngs.
